Hi friends – it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I realised the other day that I haven’t posted on here since June (oops), and honestly that just about sums up life lately, doesn’t it?! Between working from home, chasing after two little boys, and a trip abroad, blogging kind of fell to the bottom of the list. But here we are – new month, slightly more sleep (on a good day), and a little spark to start writing again.
The boys are doing great. My toddler is speaking so much more now, and it’s wild to think I have two little humans I can actually hold a conversation with! They’ve loved the summer holidays, but I think they’re both definitely ready for school to start back up again (or at least I am).

Motherhood this season has been a mix of sweet and challenging. My toddler still isn’t sleeping through the night in his own bed and usually ends up joining me after a few hours. So I’m still running on a fraction of normal human sleep. My toddler definitely regressed a bit after our trip abroad, which did not help. My days are full for sure, but I cling to the little moments that make it all worth it.
Working from home during the school holidays has been…let’s just say an exercise in patience. Some days are carefully planned adventures, others are spent at home with me trying not to lose my mind, if I’m honest. It’s days like this that I dream of having a home office to hide in instead of the kitchen table!
Balancing mum duties with work hours is a constant juggle, and by the end of most days I’m completely exhausted. Coffee has been my lifeline, laundry continues to multiply like magic, and somehow the to-do list refuses to shrink.

We spent two wonderful weeks in New Jersey visiting my family. Yes, I braved a transatlantic flight by myself with two small children in tow. I’m actually quite proud of myself (and them – they did incredibly!). It was so lovely to see the boys get some much-needed quality time with their relatives, and it felt like a little escape from our usual routine.
Back home, the rest of the summer holidays have been filled with local day trips around Yorkshire – trips to York, the aquarium, and little adventures that keep us busy without venturing too far.
I’ve also been trying to get back into routines that help me feel a bit more like myself. Exercise went completely off track while we were in NJ, so it’s been nice to ease back into a fitness routine. And I’ve been clinging to my nightly reading before bed – small, but so nourishing for the soul!
On top of all that, there’s something very exciting on the horizon that I’m quietly researching and planning – something that could be a total game-changer for me – and I can’t wait to share more about it when the time is right.

It feels really good to be back writing and sharing a little glimpse into life lately. I’d love to hear how life has been for you – what’s been keeping you busy, what little moments have made you smile, or even what’s been a bit chaotic. Drop me a comment below or reach out on Instagram; I always love hearing from you.
